Adrian Paci
born 1960, in Shkoder, Albania, Adrian Paci lives and works in Albania.
Adrian Paci studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana,
Albania. Working in video, photography, sculpture, performance and
installations, Paci’s work is equally concerned with questions of
exile, migration and identity as with the roles and conceptions of the
artist today. Adrian Paci’s solo exhibitions include Bildmuseet, Umeå,
Sweden (2001), Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Bergamo, Italy
(2002), Baltic Art Center, Visby, Sweden (2003), Via Farini, Milano
(2004), Galerie Peter Kilchmann, Zürich (2005), Contemporary Arts
Museum Houston (2005). Among group exhibitions are Looking Awry,
Apexart, New York (2003), In the Gorges of the Balkans, Kunsthalle
Fridericianum, Kassel (2003), Biennial of Sevilla, Spain (2004) and
51st Biennale di Venezia (2005). Adrian Paci’s work are in private and
public collections internationally.
