Fazal Sheikh
born in New York City, 1965, Fazal Sheikh lives in Zürich. Sheikh received his BA at Princeton university. A photographer and a writer, Fazal Sheikh’s long-term projects have focused on Kenya/Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan and, most recently, India. Sheikh has published five major monographs: Moksha (Steidl, Göttingen, 2005); Ramadan Moon, International Human Rights Series, Volume 2, 2001; A Camel for the Son, International Human Rights Series, Volume 1, 2001; The Victor Weeps, Afghanistan (SCALO, Zurich-Berlin-New York, 1998); A Sense of Common Ground (SCALO, Zurich-Berlin-New York, 1996).
