Leif Claesson
born 1959 in Quebec, Canada, Leif Claesson lives
and works in Stockholm. He studied at the Academy for photography at
the School of Industrial Arts, Stockholm. Working as a
photojournalist/documentary photographer, Claesson’s project Parken
(The Park) was his first independent pursuit outside of assignments.
Claesson has participated in solo exhibitions throughout Sweden and in
group exhibitions in Sweden, USA and Europe, such as most recently
Instabilt, Kulturhuset, Stockholm (2004) and Strangers, The first
triennial of photography and video, International center of Photography
in New York (2003).
